Inspired Yet?

– by Andy Wade –

ButterflyInspired yet? Seems like that’s the question of the month for me. All my normal “tricks” for kicking my imagination into gear have failed. Often when this happens I find myself trolling the internet looking for an inspirational jolt: Ted Talks, YouTube, um, facebook.

OK, but you know how it is, right? It becomes difficult to focus on reading the Bible and reading good books.

As you probably know, one of my favorite places to refocus, refuel, and re-engage is in the garden. Yet even here I’ve found more exhaustion than exultation.

MSA’s tag-line is, “inspire…connect…create”. So I’m reaching out to you – “connecting” – and wondering what helps you break free of mental mediocrity?

Would you share a few ideas with me in the comments below?

grasshopperI had a glimpse today. I went out in my garden in the heat of the day and, as is one of my habits, began counting the number of different kinds of bees were present. I almost missed her sitting there on the edge of a pedal – the tiniest grasshopper I’ve ever seen. Perched on the edge, gazing out into what must have seemed like an abyss. I wonder what was going through her mind.
