Administrative Assistant

MUSTARD TREE--smMustard Seed Associates is currently looking for a part time administrative assistant (10-15 hrs. per week) who can assist our Executive Director with office related tasks. This position will provide a unique opportunity to assist the Mustard Seed team in developing and marketing events that invite participants to re-imagine how to live and serve God in our volatile world. There will be opportunities to attend MSA events and to meet MSA collaborators from around the world. Administrative Assistant Job Duties:

  • Assist the Executive Director to develop and market local events that invite participants to re-imagine how to live and serve God in our volatile world
  • Coordinate logistical details for speaking engagements.
  • Respond to routine email and phone enquiries by providing information and answering questions.
  • Maintains supply and book inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Create and revise systems and procedures for office management by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms control, office layout, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing changes.
    Help prepare financial reports and maintain financial records.
  • Maintains workflow by studying methods; implementing cost reductions; and developing reporting procedures.
    Implement administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitor administrative projects.
  • Participate in MSA team meetings when available.

Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be exceptionally detail oriented with tolerance for ambiguity. He (she) should also be highly capable in creating orderly systems in an environment of “idea people”.

Reporting Skills, Administrative Writing Skills, Microsoft Office Skills, Managing Processes, Organization, Analyzing Information , Professionalism, Problem Solving, Supply Management, Inventory Control, Verbal Communication, Knowledge of Quickbooks helpful.
